About Kara

Kara is a Colorado native who was reluctantly dragged to Thailand shortly after turning sixteen. Turns out a sixteen year old doesn’t always know what’s best, and some amazing life-giving things would happen on that foreign soil; such as marriage to her husband Nate, and the birth of her two children: Aiden and Ember. After 15 years of calling Thailand home, in 2017 both Nate and Kara felt God’s hand leading them back to the U.S. One lesson Kara would bring home with her is the powerful connection between coffee and people. God had plans to put the vision to fruition not long after The Bridge formed. Kara was able to team up with Ashley to bring about the Front Porch Coffee Shop – a church coffee shop with the goal of helping our community thrive.
